Course Overview:

The international development community as a whole is aware that carrying out development activities can no longer be done as usual. Efforts to reduce poverty have been ineffective, and investment for development hasn't always resulted in real changes in people's lives. An increased focus on better development and poverty alleviation program design and delivery, as well as a call for greater collaboration and accountability among development actors, have resulted from the lack of a clear correlation between development interventions and sustainable livelihood outcomes. The renewed global commitment to sustainable development made possible by the UN's Agenda 2030 is evidence that some progress has been made.

To close the aid-development gap and improve the efficacy of development initiatives, there is still much work to be done. This course offers concepts and strategies to promote the effectiveness of development activities in addition to some critical insights into the dynamic fields of international development and poverty alleviation. You can anticipate gaining a strategic awareness of the newest objectives, issues, and solutions for global development by enrolling in this course. You will get access to the fundamental ideas and resources for promoting sustainable development and eradicating poverty. In this course, you'll learn:

  • Gain a strategic understanding of emerging priorities, problems and solutions for international development.
