Course Overview

Agricultural innovations are defined as a process by which people or organizations introduce new or existing products, processes, or organizational structures into use for the first time, with the goal of enhancing household food security, ensuring sustainable resource management, and generating employment and reducing poverty. Innovations and technology in agriculture work to improve efficiency, competitiveness, shock resiliency, or environmental sustainability. Information, communication, and technology (ICT) present a chance for rural farmers to increase their production because of the dynamic nature of technologies and advances and the significance of agriculture in contributing to rural people livelihoods. In this session, participants will learn how to leverage ICT in agriculture to boost productivity and improve effectiveness and efficiency throughout the entire agricultural value chain.
