Course Overview
Regardless of the scale of operation, machinery management is a crucial but necessary component of any successful agricultural mechanization program. Effective machinery management include making wise decisions and carrying them out in all areas of operation selection, equipment selection, ownership, power- implementation compatibility, operation financing, and controls on machinery use for maximum production.
Every farmer understands the value of having high-quality machinery that is always in good working order. When something goes wrong, it may result in downtime as well as significant losses in output, crops, and revenue. A broken tractor, combine, or other piece of equipment can delay critical agricultural tasks while requiring more travel for repairs or waiting for a service call.
The current agriculture sector is expanding quickly despite declining oil reserves and unstable financing markets. As a result, agriculture becomes more cutthroat and demands greater resource management and operating cost reduction to maximize profit. Major cost reduction may be encouraged by increased machine capacity and effective use of production factors.
